This is Hanvey's.com...

This is the Hanvey's.com Homepage. To go to Hanvey's Homebrew Website, click on the link at the right. To read older messages posted by Phil or Rhonda, click on the title of the message under "Archives".

This is going to be the homepage from now on. I WILL ADD LINKS to the pages you all know and love, "Family", "Phil's Old Website", etc. very soon. Please be patient, but please ENJOY the messages on this page. They're sorted by date, with the most recent post at the top of the page, and are archived monthly. You can go back and read archived messages by clicking on the "Month" hyperlink. I'll also try to figure out how to organize archived messages by "Category", so that those of you who need instructions can click on "Instructional", and those of you who want to read about our travels can click on "Travels", etc. YOU'LL LOVE IT! It's like a living website. IT'S ALIVE, IT'S AAALLLIIIIIVE!!!

Yes, you're being redirected.

When you go to http://www.hanveys.com, after 1 second, the page changes to http://www.hanveys.com/blog.

That's because the program I'm using to create the pages, Movable Type, won't allow me to create an updatable page in the root directory. I know it can be done, but perhaps due to the way the program was originally installed, in a subdirectory, or due to permission settings on the server, or even a bug in the program. I tried moving the index.html to the root directory, which worked, but MT wouldn't update it when I made a change or new entry. I worked with my ISP for about a half an hour trying to see if the permissions were wrong, but they aren't, at least from what we can see. The rebuilt writes to the subdirectory .../hanveys/blog, but not to .../hanveys. Oh, well, I searched around the web for a while until I found a meta command that allows me to redirect the page www.hanveys.com to www.hanveys.com/blog and reset my program to work the way it was originally. Good to go!

Introducing the new Hanvey's.com

This is the new look of Hanvey's.com. Notice the links and archives? Each posted message on this page will be archived for future reference.

This way I can explain any questions about this site once and anyone else with the same question can refer to the Instructional Archives for answers. This should prove to be interesting, as either Rhonda or I can post messages to this page from any computer anywhere, and anyone reading the posts can publish comments which will be attached to each post. Remember, whatever you write will be publicly displayed on this page and is fair game for anyone else to comment on so, write carefully.
