Sorry, no photos today, what will you do?  Busy weeks ahead.  Foundation plan due this week from engineer so groundbreaking is this Friday - whoo- hoo!  Seismic survey is planned for Wednesday or Thursday, I'll go have a look when I get a call, there's a trail I'd like from the homesite to the SE corner where I feel the potential for growing grapes may exist.  Jeez, it would be great if they found some oil or gas, wouldn't it?  Maybe then I could stop crying in my Cheerios over what it's costing me to build this freakin' house.

Chase is growing fast and recovering from a nasty case of mites.  Should be right as rain in a few weeks, I'll post a new photo of him then, he looks a bit scruffy right now.  Buster has recovered fully from his surgery and can't wait to move to the ranch.  Really, just ask him.  It's really hot here today, 103ºF (39.5ºC) and both dogs are enjoying an air-conditioned corner of the house.

Rhonda and I both agree that we actually miss England.  Shocking but true.  We were both very happy there and miss all of our dear friends.  Sure, we'll make new ones and yes, it's good to see the family but we often think of, and miss our good friends in the U.K.  Cheers everyone!  Hope you are all "all right"!

Crying in your cheerio's, ha & phwoooeee!! Think yourself lucky your not building a house in UK, now that REALLY would cost ya!!

Paul......

So, are your going to break a bottle of spirits at the corner of your foundation to celebrate? So sorry Rhonda cannot be with you for this special event. Good luck with everything. Glad to hear the animals are well and thriving. How are Steve and Shea surviving? Ha--- I see how hot it is down there--am thinking of coming down before the next month is out but there is no reason I want to come while you all are having 100 degree plus weather--I can stay here for that. Don't think I could take standing out at the homestead admiring the trees and open land until it cools down a bit. Are you homesick for England? It's going to be a while before you make new friends out there in the "yonder". Love you all bunches. MOM. Smooches to the pooches!
